Our process
What actually happens between your call and your pallet.
Every carton is cut, creased, printed and glued in the one building in Tauriko. No part of it gets sent away and no part of it arrives on a ship. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.

How a box gets made
Six steps. Most of them happen within about thirty metres of each other.
Pick the right board
We match the board to the product from our full in house range. Thickness, flute and strength all change depending on what is going inside and how far it travels.
Draw the die line
The carton is drawn in CAD around your product, including any windows, handles or partitions it needs.
Cut it to shape
Big runs of shaped boxes get a cutting die made, which is the mould the cardboard is cut and folded against. Samples and small runs go on the CNC plotter instead.
Press in the fold lines
Creases are pressed in so the carton folds cleanly every time instead of buckling wherever it feels like it.
Print your branding
Your logo on the lid or the sides, one or two colours on kraft. You sign off a PDF proof before any screens or print stereos get made.
Glue, flat pack, dispatch
Edges and inserts glued where they need to be, stacked flat and couriered anywhere in New Zealand. The die stays on file for your next run.

A custom mould made for your carton. Costs something to make, then cuts thousands quickly and identically. Worth it once the numbers get up.

The whole job happens in Tauriko
Board range, CAD, dies, plotter, print and dispatch are all in the one building. Nothing gets subcontracted out and nothing waits on a container.
Which is mostly why we can turn a sample around quickly, and why if something is wrong you ring one number and a person walks over and looks at it.
