If you missed the memo, we are moving to our new premises on the 11th of July - and here's why! This is the current situation at the Maleme St, Custom Cartons HQ. We have boxes coming out of our ears. With bigger premises, we can continue to provide you with the fast turnarounds we have always promised. That doesn't mean to say we don't encourage getting your orders in to us as soon as you can and well in advance of the due date!

Unfortunately, due to Covid particularly in the last couple of weeks, the cardboard manufacturing factories are struggling to staff the corrugating machines. Freight companies are also feeling the pain of lack of staff to be able to deliver stock. These issues combined have resulted in a significant increase in lead times for us to receive our board from the factories. On top of this, the packaging industry on a whole is under extreme pressure at present with an unprecedented amount of enquiries and orders.
We are working really hard to keep our customers requirements met at all times. We have a good amount of stock for manufacturing but we need your orders IN ADVANCE please.
We are more than happy to receive orders WELL IN ADVANCE of your required delivery dates to be sure we can deliver your cartons to you on time and with a smile 😊

Our highly experienced, dedicated team of machine operators is led by joint owners, Allan and Wendy, who stand by every cardboard box that leaves our factory. 📦
Allan and Wendy have had nearly 40 years of self-employment running a varied selection of retail businesses including a video store (back in the olden days), Four square stores and a Book store. More recently spending 11 years on the Gold Coast in Australia in the accommodation industry running Management Rights Apartment buildings.
Wanting to return home to beautiful NZ, they decided to purchase Custom Cartons and are thoroughly enjoying the challenges of everyone’s requests being so different. 💡
Allan is the design expert(now) and is happy to chat regarding your specific requirements. Wendy, and her right-hand office assistant Sandra, keep the customers happy and the orders ticking through the factory.

There are many types of cardboard, all with different uses and purposes. Here at Custom Cartons, we use corrugated board each with different flute sizes and profiles – offering many combinations designed to create packaging with different characteristics, strength and performances. Fluting is a combination of two sheets of paper which is glued together and assembled in a way which gives the overall structure a better strength than that of each distinct layer! 📦
